Seek Peace & Problems Will Go Away

When you're doing something and enjoying it very much, like a hobby, a dream, or a long delayed intention - at that very moment in time of the enjoyment, your mind will be at peace. It seems that our wonderful mind will switch only to that channel, filtering out all other daily issues/worries in life for example dues for rent, unpaid bills, work deadline at office and the list goes on and on. The stress of worrying about all those small things in life seems to be gone, right in that moment when you're at peace with yourself, in this context - enjoying what you really like to do.

Porky stumbled over this video, a short documentary about the life of owning and running a Ramen noodle store in Japan. Well, not much into the Ramen itself, but more on the Chef sheer determination. Small setup, multitude tasks to do daily, long working hours, going back late and waking up early and small earning per sales doesn't seems to matter at the end of the day. Its a good motivational video to the Porkidigans, it inspired us to seek and do what we like the most, stop worrying about the small things and most importantly, seek peace within our inner self and live life to the fullest.

Papoi First Bobobike

It is in the Porkydigans tradition that everybody must be able to ride on 2 wheels, balancing the human powered machine.. or also known as 'bobobike' (pksh : bicycle or motorbike). Last Christmas during his year end school escapade and holiday, Papoi got his first bobobike after a long wait. We decided to get it in Cat's City, from the same shop his dad got his about 12-14 years ago. To our surprise, its the same uncle in Porky's favorite singlet who help to assemble it. There will be more post as we venture into the wonderful world of cycling, for now Papoi can't wait to get his hands on it.. full speed ahead says Porky sitting in the front basket !

Cat Mobile PamCett..

Once upon a time, a few of the Porkydigans decided to go strolling in the town of Malacca after a scrumptious dinner . So everybody jumped in the CatMobile. Well, it must be something to do with the weight because Benedict, Mook, Digby, Belverdere and Porky ended up stranded on the side of the road because the tire went flat .. or pamcet.. ha ha ha.. Moral of the story is always make sure the spare tire is inflated all the time... N+1 ..

Start of a new year..

After all the parties, tons of food, gallons of drink, and long holidays, we had enter a new year... welcome 2018 ! Full speed ahead says Captain Porky ! but this year we will do it quietly and slowly. Mr. Porky have set the focus for this year starting with Porky Cavern II expansion !

Last Day of the Year 2017

It was raining earlier in the morning. Cool breeze since dawn. Porky just returned from KL last night, detour after Cat's City. Same weather it seems,  cold and wet, slight windy but no rain.. all 3 cities sharing the same ambiance, just nice..  and today is the last day of the year.. and it has been a PURRRRFECT year indeed .. ! Happy New Year says all the Porkydigans !

Millennium Falcon Star Wars Christmas

It is finally December 2018, the long waited Star Wars series - the Last Jeylai  (pksh : Jedi) will be screening in cinema. Beep beep blue ray cheers all the Porkydigans ! ready the BopCorn n BotDog to munch on. Star Wars is always an old time favorite, dated back to the first movie in 1977 - A New Hope - Episode IV (4). Just imagine, its exactly 40 years old ! which also about the age of the oldest Porkydigans ! - pheeww.. that's a long run.

This Xmas, we bought a special toy for Papoi, a Hot Wheels version of Millennium Falcon from the movie, piloted by Heinz Bolo (pksh : Hans Solo) and Chewbacca the Big Foot or Sasquatch.There will be more post on the original space ship from the movie, mostly on the technical stuff. Porky believe one day in future, humanity will be able to explore space easily just like jumping in a car and drive it.

Papoi setup - Xmas Party with Lego Action Figures

One we got is a part of the big world of Hot Wheels Track Builder Series. It's a manual launching pad with a stopover like R&R - (entry on side, turn table will re position the vehicle for new direction, and drop down door will lower it to bottom track, before the reverse slop slowly back it to the launcher for firing). It also seems to have a repair shop manned by robotics arms and parking slot. The cool part is it comes with a press to activate sound FX set with voices of R2-D2, BB-8, ChewBacca & firing laser sound -lots of fun. We found out Lego action figures fit nicely to the scale - so all the Star Wars figures are back for a good play.

BukPeel is 9 Years Old

Nearing 2018, Mr. Bukpeel is 9 human years old. His birth certificate DOB was 2009, born somewhere near Porky's Cavern and was brought into the family by his uncle Mr. Slappy. A year later, comes Kiki his best friend ever since. Somehow we think he is related to Mr. Wallace, the grandfather cat that once rule the neighborhood, royal blood indeed.

Apart from being an expert food consumer, his part time job is an uncertified massage therapist to all the Porkydigans.. cool or not ? Like everybody else, he have many hobbies. To name a few - luggage bag warmer, couch scratcher, kitchen mop, front desk staff of Porky's Cavern (first Porkydigans to welcome you) and the best of all - a warm furry Garfield in real life.

Tree Of Life - Morringa (Part 2)

Remember the miracle tree Porky nicknamed Tree Of Life that we planted few months back. It grew miraculously into a mini tree just by seeding it in a pot. Not much care or attention was given by the Porkydigans, however it seems to be self reliance.

According to Mr. Horton, its a robust and resilient tree, and often grown in famine country as humanitarian aid as it is highly nutritious. It does make sense to Mr. Benedict after he study the illustration below.

Tree of Life - Moringga (Part 1)

While in the Philippines, Porky discovered a plant that is kind of rare back home. Its scientific name is Moringga Oleifera, and also many other names, depending on which countries are referring to it. In India, it is known as DrumStick (Porky scratch head...??) and in Philippines as Malunggay. After doing some reading, all Porkydigans bagree (PKSH : agree) to call it Tree of Life, the most meaningful of all..

It's like a super plant, loaded with tons of vitamins and nutrients beating all other vegetables to TKO round in a boxing match. It is a common type of vegetables here in the Philippines, and one of the famous dish that taste yummy with this is Chicken Tinola (will post about the recipe next time). Cat bought the seeds from a Korean mini mart, supposedly to be eaten like peanuts, but Porky took a few and planted it in the garden. It grows steadily into a tree now, and soon Porkydigans will have ample supply of this super food. Read more about it here ...

Porky admit this blog have not seen any updates recently, almost been a year now but rest assure its not abandoned. Porky Cavern and its inhabitants had been busy and adventurous as ever, all will be forgotten if their stories are not being told here. So pingers crossed (PKSH : fingers) , Porky have dedicated 1 month to complete the backlog post .. let's walk the talk ..
